Las Flores Mexican Restaurant in Alvin

One of my favorite Tex Mex restaurants. Tamales are always a choice for me and this place knows how to make tamales! The staff is helpful and the low light is quite nice for an evening out.

I have been to this restaurant only twice, two months apart. My wait person remembered me and my order! The food was again delicious, out very quickly, and very reasonably priced. The staff is so professional and polite. This may be a little local Mexican food place, but the service is 5 stars! If you are in Alvin, this is the place to go. There are a bunch of major chain restaurants just up the street. Do yourself a favor and skip those and opt for Las Flores instead. You will get great food and fantastic service.

We had an impromptu birthday celebration for our 94 year old Mother... just 19 of us children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The food, the service and the hospitality were fabulous, as usual for Las Flores.

A regular here at Las Flores, always delicious! However I must mention I noticed a difference in the tortilla chips. The other chips are way better, these new ones have a HORRIBLE taste :(

The food is great, the service as well. We have a special needs daughter, they go out of their way. The prices are very good and the atmosphere is just very comfortable.

I love Las Flores, the staff is great. Daniel is always polite and gets my orders right. The food is always hot and fresh. The place is clean and you feel welcomed as soon as you walk in the door. I highly recommend this restaurant.

This place is GREAT!!!! Service was excellent, tamales are phenomenal and their chips and salsa/queso is da bomb diggity. Recomend this place very much. It's different from other Mexican restaurants in all the best ways.

Good service along with good food

Nice n quite, a hidden little gem!! Loved the chicken quesadilla and the refried beans were delicious!! I mixed the salsa into the queso and was in for a real treat! All was perfect!!

Large chicken enchiladas with sour cream sauce, refried beans and rice! Always have great food and great service at Las Flores!!

Wonderful TEX-MEX, reminds me of San Antonio's Tex-Mex where I grew up.

Chips were warm and crisp with just the right saltiness. The red sauce had a kick, but it kept you coming back for more. The day's special was a couple dollars off their Cozumel plate: perfectly baked fish in a buttery sauce with shrimp and other goodies. Fabulous! Staff was pleasant and service was fast. All in all, not bad for a low profile family-run place in a strip mall in a small town just south of the big city!

Las Flores serves an excellent assortment of Mexican food. Our party of 8 received a variety of dished cooked to perfection. The fish tacos looked amazing, but I was busy with the Shrimp Diablo. The restaurant is not large. It is cozy with a friendly staff.

I loved my cozumel plate. Very delicious! The white cream sauce was great over the fish. However my husband's fajita burrito was terrible.

It’s been several years since we have been to Los Flores. And now after going on my birthday I am wondering why we waited so long to go back. The food and the service was wonderful!! They made my birthday evening very special! I can’t say enough great things about this family owned restaurant. Do yourself a favor and go try this place out, you will not regret it!!

Order the San Juan. Bacon wrapped shrimp with beef fajitas and charro beans and rice. It's enough for 2 people and IMO better than pappasitos version
